Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of powder coating and blasting equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces. The Powder Coating Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the high quality and durability of our products through efficient and precise powder coating and blasting processes. Availability Requirements: Shifts: Monday to Friday - 6am to 2:30pm with occasional overtime as needed. Due to the nature and scope of the essential functions of this position, the importance of personal interactions with coworkers, and the availability of job-related tools, equipment and resources at work, performance of the essential functions requires regular, consistent availability, accessibility, and presence on-site. Approximately 40 hours / week may be required to efficiently perform the job duties of this position, including presence at designated internal and external meetings. This position may also require availability and accessibility to respond to and address emergencies and critical situations outside of normal business operating hours in the early mornings, evenings and/or during weekends. Overtime may be scheduled and required to meet departmental needs. Language Skills: Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence at the highest levels in the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Advanced conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Mathematical Skills: Must have mathematical skills equivalent to those required under degree requirements. Higher skills may be required depending on actual job duties. Physical and Visual Activities: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Acuity-Far, Acuity-Near, Depth Perception, and Field of Vision. Physical Demands: May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance. Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment, as well as a usual office environment. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold and hot temperatures, chemicals, and vapors. Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software: Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. May minimally operate test equipment and/or basic hand tools. Move to, from and within the designated work area frequently and consistently throughout the workday and regularly throughout our building and/or across property site locations, possibly during inclement weather. Lift, transport and/or move a specified amount of weight frequently each day in the performance of regular duties as outlined below with respect to each machining area. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and descending a stepladder may also be required.
