We're seeking a strategic and operationally focused Senior Director of Specialty Fuels Operations to lead specialty fuel operations across the United States. This role oversees logistics, field operations, emergency response readiness, carrier relationships, and service execution supporting complex industrial and mission-critical customers including railroads, data centers, plant operations, and emergency response accounts.


Reporting to the Vice President, Fuels & Supply Chain, this leader will partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Fleet, Supply Chain, Safety, and Finance teams to drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and scalable growth.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead national specialty fuel operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and service reliability
  • Oversee logistics, dispatch, routing, fleet utilization, and field operations
  • Establish and maintain carrier and third-party service provider relationships
  • Support emergency response readiness and deployment efforts
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to support strategic customer accounts
  • Lead and develop distributed operational teams
  • Drive KPI performance, process improvement, and operational standardization
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning


Qualifications



  • 10+ years of fuel industry experience, including industrial or specialty fueling operations
  • Strong leadership experience in logistics, fleet management, and multi-site operations
  • Experience supporting complex industrial or mission-critical customers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong analytical, operational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 75%
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
