This employee oversees the day-to-day operations of the shipping warehouse, which includes staff, inventory, and equipment, as well as shipping and receiving.
* Coordinate and administer the daily activities of the warehouse and shipping clerks * Manage the department in the absence of the Department Manager * Monitor filling and shipping queues and staff them sufficiently to avoid backlogs * Monitor inventory to ensure sufficient supplies are available * Perform Shipping Clerk duties as needed * Monitor the warehouse for compliance with safety guidelines * Maintenance of warehouse and shipping area, including equipment * Receive all shipments * Documentation of packing slip or invoice * Responsible for count of pieces being received * Storage and rotation of inventory | |
