Remote (Preference for candidates based in New York, NY for occasional onsite meetings)
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
6-Month Contract with Potential Extension

Job Summary

The Data Analyst - Customer Clean Energy Programs is responsible for supporting energy efficiency program operations through data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, invoice processing, and process automation. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to manage program data, monitor budgets, ensure data accuracy, and improve operational efficiency across customer clean energy initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with reporting and automation tools, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Manage invoice processing activities for mass market energy efficiency programs
  • Review technical program applications and energy efficiency savings documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Process invoices within the Demand Management Tracking System (DMTS) built in Salesforce
  • Report invoice processing performance metrics and status updates during weekly team meetings
  • Perform quality control reviews of invoices and supporting documentation provided by implementation contractors
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including program delivery, business planning, analysis, and system support teams to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and maintain program reports and operational data
  • Monitor and track program budgets and expenditures
  • Manage customer eligibility and qualification data to ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Document operational procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Design, build, maintain, and enhance automated dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, and Excel
  • Leverage AI tools and automation technologies to improve workflows, accelerate data processing, and increase operational efficiency
  • Analyze, manipulate, and present complex datasets using Python and advanced Excel functions
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy across dashboards, reports, and operational systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting, dashboard, and data-related issues
  • Support ongoing operational and analytical needs related to clean energy and energy efficiency programs


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, program operations, or related analytical roles required
  • Strong experience with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development required
  • Experience with Power Platform tools including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions required
  • Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting required
  • Experience working with Salesforce or Salesforce-based applications such as DMTS required
  • Strong understanding of process improvement and data automation practices
  • Experience tracking budgets, expenditures, and operational metrics preferred
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation technologies preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while supporting team initiatives


Work Experience



  • Experience supporting utility, energy efficiency, telecommunications, engineering, or related operational programs preferred
  • Experience supporting program operations, invoice processing, or compliance reporting preferred
  • Experience building automated reporting and dashboard solutions preferred
