Under minimal supervision plans, develops, implements and evaluates effective large communication efforts including strategy development, content determination, creative direction, research, writing, editing and validation. Essential Functions
Position Summary The Communications Advisor will lead efforts to amplify the company's corporate strategy, financial performance, and business strategy narrative with top-tier and business-focused media. This role is critical to supporting the needs of the company by driving external visibility, shaping executive thought leadership, and positioning the company as a leader in its industry and in financial communication excellence. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree/equivalent. Minimum Experience Five (5) years directly related experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master's Degree equals two (2) years experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated experience in institutional or corporate communications with an emphasis on communication planning/analysis and exposure to print and non-print media strategies. Ability to study complex data and broad business strategy and convert into practical, creative and effective communication strategies. Highly proficient analytical, problem-solving, organization, creativity, grammar, writing and human relations/relation management skills. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred locations for this hybrid position are Memphis, Plano and PGH. However, we will consider candidates based elsewhere within the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories with a remote preference of NY. Candidates residing within 50 miles of a FedEx campus will be required to work on-site at a FedEx location several times per week.
