Warehouse Janitor

Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the environment safe, organized, and spotless, ensuring a clean and efficient space for staff and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Sweep, mop, and vacuum warehouse floors and office areas as needed.

* Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company policy.

* Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces regularly.

* Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).

* Dust surfaces, racks, and fixtures to prevent debris build-up.

* Clean spills or hazardous materials promptly using proper procedures.

* Operate floor cleaning machines and other janitorial equipment.

* Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report restocking needs.

* Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols.

* Assist with light maintenance tasks as assigned.

• Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.
• Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.
• Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements:

* Lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), standing, walking, bending, stooping and kneeling for extended periods.

* Climbing ladders, reaching and using hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment.

Work Environment:

* Warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

* May be exposed to dust, noise, and occasional heavy lifting.

* Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided as necessary.

Qualifications:

• * High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  * Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a warehouse or industrial setting is a plus.

  * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  * Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

  * Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets (SDS).

  * Basic understanding of OSHA safety regulations is preferred.

  * Dependable and punctual.
