TEKsystems is hiring for an IT Site Support Specialist to provide tier 1 and tier 2 support in Two Harbors, MN. This person will serve as the sole support person at this location, assisting users with a breadth of technical issues.
This is an onsite position. *Description* * Provide onsite, desk-side, and remote support to end users for day-to-day IT issues, service requests, and system changes. This includes supporting both local and remote users. * Partner with IT leadership to maintain and optimize the overall IT environment and ensure systems are running efficiently. * Monitor and manage incoming service desk tickets to ensure issues are addressed accurately and in a timely manner. * Proactively respond to incidents nearing or breaching SLAs. * Support end-user access to approved applications and systems in line with company policies and standards. * Manage and support mobile devices and tablets, including setup and provisioning of hardware. * Coordinate purchasing and deployment of hardware and software. * Provide hands-on support to infrastructure teams when needed (servers, network, telephony). * Act as a resource for end users by offering guidance on IT best practices and solutions. * Deliver end-user training and facilitate IT-related workshops. * Contribute to process improvements and help implement standards to drive efficiency. * Support and participate in assigned IT projects. * Act as a point of contact for IT-related needs for the business. * Travel up to 20% as needed, including potential international travel. * Maintain accurate IT asset records. * Keep internal documentation up to date, including procedures and standards. * Work with vendors to support IT operations. * Assist with budget tracking and cost management in partnership with IT leadership. * Escalate issues appropriately based on impact and urgency. * Track and report on IT performance metrics and KPIs. * Support ongoing IT training initiatives for end users. * Perform additional duties as needed. *Skills* * Service Desk / Help Desk support * Windows 10 and 11 * Microsoft technologies (including Microsoft 365) * End User Support *Qualifications* * Strong customer service mindset with a focus on delivering a positive end-user experience * Able to work both independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities * Comfortable communicating technical concepts to non-technical users * Detail-oriented, especially when documenting and resolving user issues * Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies * Able to perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment * Experience supporting projects * Hands-on experience troubleshooting PCs and laptops (Dell experience preferred) * Experience supporting mobile devices and tablets, including iOS and Android * Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools * Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications * Familiarity with endpoint management tools (imaging, software deployment, remote support) * Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN; Cisco experience is a plus) * Exposure to VMware, Citrix, and thin-client environments * Experience with user account and print management in Windows Server * General end-user hardware support experience *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Two Harbors, MN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
