Ready to be a Lead? * * We are seeking an experienced Technician to support large-scale datacenter telecom projects in the Columbus, OH area. This role is ideal for someone with a strong low voltage/fiber bg who can both lead a team and stay hands-on in the field. Key Responsibilities * Lead and supervise crews on structured cabling and fiber installation projects * Coordinate daily project activities and ensure work meets quality and safety standards * Troubleshoot and resolve telecom/fiber-related issues * Pull, terminate, and test fiber and Cat6 cabling * Serve as the main on-site point of contact for customers * Track materials, manpower, and project progress * Complete documentation (timesheets, work orders, reports, etc.) accurately * Interpret blueprints and project specifications * Conduct safety meetings and enforce compliance standards * Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with project execution Qualifications * Hands-on experience with fiber installation, termination, and troubleshooting * Strong knowledge of Cat6, fiber, and cable systems * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents * Strong communication and customer service skills Work Environment * Outdoor and on-site work (OSP projects) Why Join? * Long-term stability on a multi-year datacenter project * Opportunity to grow into Project Lead roles * Work with a growing telecom team with consistent project pipeline Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
