Patient Access Specialist OnSite \| Mount Sterling, KY (40353) FullTime \| Contract to hire (6 Months) Entry Level \| Healthcare Customer Service About the Role We are hiring a Patient Access Specialist to support a fastpaced healthcare operations team. This role focuses on administrative, clerical, and customer support related to patient records, billing documentation, and internal requests. This is a strong entrylevel opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in healthcare administration, medical records, and hospital support services. What You'll Be Doing * Process requests for medical records, EOBs, UB92 forms, and itemized statements * Sort, track, and distribute incoming mail and documentation * Support claims processing and billing documentation workflows * Manage work queues and complete assigned tasks in internal systems * Perform general office duties (filing, scanning, indexing, data entry) * Handle documentation requests from internal and external teams * Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all tasks What We're Looking For Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience * Familiarity with medical terminology * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and manage workload * Comfortable working in a fastpaced, highvolume environment * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred (Nice to Have) * Experience in healthcare or patient access * Exposure to EPIC or similar systems * Data entry or 10key experience * Customer service experience in a medical setting Schedule & Work Environment * 100% onsite in Mount Sterling, KY * Shift options may include: * Early shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM * Day shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM * Office/healthcare setting with a teambased environment * Fastpaced workflow with high daily volume Additional Requirements * Background check required * Drug screening required * Preemployment health screenings and immunizations may be required Why This Role * Great entry point into healthcare and hospital operations * Handson exposure to medical records and billing processes * Opportunity to build transferable administrative and customer service skills * Structured environment with room to grow and gain experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mount Sterling, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.70 - $19.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
