Patient Access Specialist OnSite \| Chattanooga, TN FullTime \| Contract to hire (6 months) Entry Level \| Healthcare Customer Service About the Role We are hiring a Patient Access Specialist to support a fastpaced healthcare environment. This role focuses on administrative and clerical support related to patient records, billing documentation, and internal requests. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, customer service experience, and interest in building a career in healthcare operations. Key Responsibilities * Process and fulfill requests for medical records, EOBs, UB92 forms, and itemized statements * Sort, track, and distribute incoming mail and documentation * Perform general office tasks including filing, scanning, indexing, and data entry * Review and process claims and documentation from multiple sources * Work within system queues and online files to complete assigned tasks * Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of work items * Communicate with internal teams regarding requests and documentation needs What We're Looking For Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience * Familiarity with medical terminology * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and handle research tasks * Comfortable in a fastpaced, highvolume environment * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred (Nice to Have) * Experience in healthcare or patient access * Exposure to EPIC or similar systems * Data entry or 10key experience * Customer service experience Schedule & Work Environment * Onsite role in Chattanooga, TN * Office/healthcare setting with a collaborative team environment * Various shift options may be available (day, mid, or rotating schedules) * Fastpaced environment with high daily volume Additional Requirements * Background check required * Drug screening required * Preemployment health screenings and immunizations may be required Why This Role * Entry point into healthcare administration * Handson experience with medical records and billing processes * Opportunity to build transferable skills in a highdemand industry * Structured environment with defined processes and growth potential #westpriority26 Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
