Job Description
Job Description This role will work with others to reduce manual effort and enhances the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of IT operations and service delivery by implementing automated, intelligent solutions that enable teams to shift from reactive tasks to modern, automated operations. This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining application software.
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.
What you do:
- Develop scripts, workflows, and orchestration logic (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JavaScript) to automate IT operational tasks.
- Write, test, version, and maintain automation code using source control systems (e.g., Git), following modular design, basic code review, and documentation practices.
- Develop assisted and self-service workflows that coordinate actions across multiple systems, tools, or platforms to improve resolution speed and consistency.
- Develop and maintain integrations leveraging REST APIs, JSON, and authentication methods to enable data exchange and workflow automation across IT systems and services.
- Collaborate with IT Support and Operations teams to analyze current processes, identify bottlenecks, and translate manual workflows into structured, automated solutions.
- Perform unit testing, validation, and troubleshooting of scripts and workflows to ensure reliability, maintainability, and safe operation in production environments.
- Assist in developing and enabling intelligent operational capabilities.
- Build automation and integrations that function across cloud services, SaaS platforms, and on premises systems.
- Produce clear technical documentation, examples, and support runbooks so automation solutions can be understood, supported, and extended by other IT team members.
- Participate in iterative improvement by refining code, enhancing automation coverage, learning new tools or techniques, and gradually assuming greater ownership of automation solutions.
What you bring:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Less than 2 years of related experience required.
- Education or experience focused on information technology or software development desired.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn AI concepts, tools, and development practices (prior AI experience is a plus, not a requirement).
- Strong collaboration skills and a desire to grow in a modern engineering environment desired.
- Exposure to or interest in API development, integrations, or cloud-based services desired.

About this Position's Pay
The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
