Description

Performs general accounting activities. Assists in the preparation of financial statements. Maintains and assures the accuracy of accounting records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Monthly account analysis of various general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares month-end journal entries.
  • Maintains and prepares various amortizations, accruals, and recurring entries
  • Reconciles and maintains records for intercompany Accounts Payable
  • Reconciles and maintains records for rents and leases for buildings and equipment
  • Prepares audit schedules.
  • Prepare payroll entries
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly BPC packages for Amada North America, Inc.
  • Assists in the preparation on monthly, quarterly, and yearly BPC packages for Amada America, Inc.


  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


NON- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Assists in special accounting projects, as needed.


SKILLS:



  • 10-key by touch
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to Detail
  • Experience with Syteline is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and in a teamwork setting


WORK ENVIORNMENT:



  • Onsite in Buena Park office Monday - Friday
  • Cubicle within Accounting office


PAY RANGE:



  • Staring at $63,000.00 (NON-EXEMPT)


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:



  • Division Accounting Manager


SUBORDINATE STAFF:



  • None


KNOWLEDGE:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of similar experience as a Staff Accountant preferred


    TRAVEL



    • Very little travel
