Certified Project Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Communicates new ideas and challenges ongoing assumptions for program expansion or new program development opportunities.
- Monitors general healthcare trends and issues specific to assigned responsibilities and ties relevant findings to business plans.
- Coordinates and supervises the full life cycle of program and project management activities for assigned programs and projects, from initiation through closure, following best practices and PMO-defined project management methodologies.
- Coordinates with project staff to ensure completion consistent with established timetables and objectives.
- Identifies and/ makes recommendations to improve Inova's Project Management Framework.
- Supports organizational change management activities aimed at gaining buy-in, acceptance, and support of enterprise project management standards.
- Establishes, implements, and tracks performance metrics for all projects and maintains centralized accountability for project portfolio management.
- Apprises leadership of project status, issues, and concerns and provides strategic and tactical advice on program and project planning and execution.
- Supports the assessment of current organizational project management capabilities that will serve as an initial maturity benchmarking effort and develops a conceptual roadmap that identifies the areas, timing, targets, and high-level schedule for agreed-upon improvements in project management practices.
- Facilitates communication, coaching, and training of project management standards and project scope to staff while ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to project activities.
- Assists in the standardization of program and project management tools, processes, and policies, by industry best practices and organizational lessons learned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering or related field or additional 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5 years of related experience in managing projects
- Certifications: PMP - Project Management Professional (within 6 months of hire)
