Employees may be eligible for two regularly scheduled remote workdays after 6 months of employment.

Who we are and what we do:

The Tennessee Attorney General and Reporter represent all State executives, officials, departments, boards, agencies, and commissions in matters arising from their public duties. Such representation includes participation in litigation, transactional matters, and giving day-to-day legal advice to a wide variety of State entities. The Attorney General's Office employs approximately 200 attorneys organized into 22 regular divisions within 5 sections.

Job Overview:

The Facilities Coordinator reports to the Director of Facilities Management and supports the day-to-day operations of the organization's physical facilities. This role coordinates maintenance activities, manages vendor relationships located throughout the State of Tennessee, and assists with space planning, office inventory, procurement, and facility-related projects. The coordinator serves as a central point of contact for facility needs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate/notify office staff of scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair services for building systems, equipment, and grounds, when necessary.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related requests and issues; track, submit, and resolve work orders in a timely manner.

  • Assist with office conference room reservations.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including contractors, maintenance providers, landscaping, janitorial, and security services.

  • Assist with receiving orders and invoice processing.

  • Support space planning, office moves, furniture installations, and ergonomic assessments.

  • Assist maintenance with ensuring the facility meets all regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, fire codes, fire drills).

  • Maintain logs, records, and documentation related to facility operations, inspections, and maintenance activities

  • Oversee office inventory This position also serves as the offices Property Officer.

  • Assist with facility-related projects, renovations, and improvements.

  • Participate in emergency response planning, coordinate building access, reserved parking matters, and security procedures.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Director of Facilities Management, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities coordination, property management, operations, or a related role in TN State Government is strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
