Patient Access Representative

Key Responsibilities:
* Handle high-volume inbound calls (70 to 120 daily) from patients regarding appointments, referrals, and general inquiries
* Provide excellent customer service to patients, many of whom may not be feeling well, requiring empathy and patience
* Schedule, confirm, and follow up on PCP appointments
* Conduct reminder calls and follow up on missed appointments (no-shows)
* Route calls to appropriate departments and ensure proper resolution of issues
* Assist patients with enrollment status, referrals, and general service needs
* Perform outbound calls including welcome calls and patient satisfaction checks
* Maintain accurate documentation and assist with reporting including daily activity and no-show tracking

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Prior call center experience required
* Medical or healthcare-related experience preferred
* Proficiency with computers and ability to navigate multiple systems

Required Skills:
* Fully bilingual in English and Spanish required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle high call volume in a fast-paced environment
* Strong customer service mindset with emphasis on empathy and professionalism
* Proven ability to de-escalate situations and remain calm under pressure
* Strong work ethic and reliability are essential
* Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively
