What does a Fleet Manager do at Swire Coca Cola?


The Fleet Manager is responsible for the supervision of the daily operations of the Fleet Maintenance department within the designated area along with ensuring that all Fleet equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable manner. The Fleet Manager will also be expected to provide excellent customer service to our distribution centers and teams.

Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that preventative maintenance programs are being followed at all locations. (Monitor CONA)
  • Coordinate members of all functional areas to ensure that equipment needs are met. (Attend weekly Division/Local meetings)
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are performed in a cost-effective manner. (Manage budget/spending in CONA)
  • Ensure accuracy of documentation generated by employees at Swire CC/vendor shops for all maintenance activities. (Audit work order and repairs)
  • Ensure all equipment meets regulatory compliance. (Review and audit for OSHA , Federal DOT, Environmental and State requirements.
  • Provide training for all subordinate personnel. (Seek vendor/ manufacture assistance for mechanic training as needed)
  • Ensure that all vehicles are prepared for transfer or disposal as needed. (Work with Fleet Manager to transfer or dispose old equipment.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Requirements:




  • High School Diploma (or GED) (or equivalent) required
  • Technical degree preferred
  • CDL preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience supervising the activities of fleet operations for an organization required and
  • 2-4 years of leading fleet employees required
  • Experience managing DOT regulated vehicles and operations
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Aptitude to learn fleet systems (i.e. SAP, CONA etc.)
  • Proficient in DOT and OSHA compliance related to fleet
  • Adaptability to Change
  • Mechanical aptitude
