Description

We are seeking a Director of Permanency Services to join our team.

Starting Salary: $75,000 (Salary)

We are seeking a Director of Permanency Services to join our team. Your role will be responsible for leading the Kansas foster care team in pursuit of the organization's mission of safer and healthier communities. You will be ultimately responsible for providing strategic leadership of programs and services, which extend to multiple counties. You will lead the team to achieve the highest of program quality & financial health, while ensuring all team members strive to deliver services that lead to long term positive impact on safety, well-being and permanency for youth. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Deputy Director of Kansas Permanency Services - Area 5.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • This position requires in-office presence 5 days a week, is not typically eligible for remote work, and may require working out of locations other than the assigned work location.
  • Directs, plans and coordinates the work of the program team members including supervision and evaluation, training and team building.
  • Supports team members with new referrals from DCF, sometimes after business hours when not scheduled On Call.
  • Organizes, attends and facilitates department and program meetings to maintain effective communication, evaluate program outcomes, and keep the team up to date on agency goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • In consultation with People Experience and other leadership team members, selects, hires, and coaches program team members, encourages employee engagement and strategizes innovative solutions for employee retention.
  • Implements, manages, supervises and evaluates all activities of the program in accordance with accrediting standards and other requirements, such as government contracts.
  • Remains up-to-date on all modifications to contract/licensing/funding sources and accreditation requirements; Ensures compliance to all standards and requirements.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience providing child welfare services and at least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership position directly supervising team members, preferably in foster care and the following:



  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas is required.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
