Position Summary

This position serves as the primary operational hub connecting corporate clients, account executives, graphics teams, and plant production. The ideal candidate possesses deep flexographic print production knowledge, proven leadership in account management, and the ability to steer complex jobs from creative asset onboarding through manufacturing and final logistics. This leader ensures exceptional quality standards, operational efficiency, and strict timeline adherence.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Coordination & File Preparation



  • Analyze and optimize client design assets for flexographic print compliance.
  • Verify that production-ready files meet exact technical tolerances (including separations, trapping, typography, and color spaces).
  • Oversee the complete verification, layout proofing, and external plate manufacturing workflows.
  • Manage asset compliance and address any discrepancies regarding structural printability or manufacturing limits.


Project Lifecycle Management



  • Guide manufacturing orders seamlessly from initial intake through final fulfillment.
  • Build and track production schedules to safeguard target delivery windows.
  • Synchronize efforts across sales, plant scheduling, material sourcing, and logistics partners.
  • Dynamically adjust project priorities inside a multi-tier manufacturing environment.


Client Relations & Desk Leadership



  • Serve as the senior liaison and technical point of contact for high-value enterprise accounts.
  • Oversee daily operations, training, and personnel management for the account management team.
  • Resolve escalated client challenges, technical inquires, and scope changes professionally.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between corporate accounts, suppliers, and internal operations.


Departmental Excellence & Operations



  • Mentor and evaluate performance metrics for technical and client-facing staff.
  • Audit and streamline internal workflows to maximize pre-production efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of specialized graphics platforms and modern design infrastructure.
  • Standardize data governance for all production-ready assets and plate archives.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on flexographic pre-production experience (experience with flexible packaging substrates is highly valued).
  • Leadership: 2+ years supervising client services, account desks, or technical design teams.
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of standard design suites (Adobe Creative Cloud) and automated packaging prepress platforms (such as Esko). Strong background in color theory, density management, and high-speed print manufacturing.
  • Environment: Fluent in cross-platform operating systems (macOS and Windows environments).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational habits, clear communication under tight deadlines, and a structured approach to technical troubleshooting.
