Position Summary	Flexible work arrangements, including virtual/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine's Working Forward initiative. As such, this position's work location is designated as hybrid. Please note that the designated work location is subject to change based on the unit's business needs. This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the Children's Research Institute. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data. The role requires an organized, detail-oriented, and flexible individual, capable of managing competing priorities. The successful candidate will possess previous clinical research work experience in an academic health care setting, experience with general office computer systems and programs, and demonstrated ability to work independently with limited guidance.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements	Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences	Experience in pediatric or adult clinical research is strongly desired. Preference will be given for candidates with recent, direct experience with clinical trials (including experience with UNC IRB process, FDA regulatory requirements, ICH GCP guidelines, and EPIC). The preferred candidate will also have experience in execution of clinical trials in various stages, including study startup, recruitment, study management, data collection, and closeout. Experience with competitive enrollment studies is also favored. Candidates who have worked with children in a clinical setting, have the ability to build rapport with families of diverse backgrounds, and self-motivated are highly sought.
