Helix Electric is seeking a Senior Electrical Commissioning Technician with strong load banking and energization experience to support data center and commercial electrical projects. This is a hands-on field role focused on testing, startup, troubleshooting, and safe execution around critical power equipment. Duties & Scope Perform and support load bank testing on generators, UPS systems, and related equipment Support energization, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities in the field Run and connect temporary cables and terminations for testing scopes Read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents Follow LOTO, PPE, OSHA, and NFPA 70E safety practices Qualifications 8+ years of commercial electrical experience 3-5+ years of journeyman-level experience Previous hands-on load banking experience Energization or electrical startup experience required QEW experience preferred Experience with switchgear, generators, panels, breakers, UPS systems, and PDUs Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues safely in the field Bachelor's degree in administration or an engineering field preferred Experience with relevant software, such as MS Office, Autodesk Construction Cloud Build, Egnyte, CXAlloy, and Bluebeam Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent data collection and analytical skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a teamwork attitude Clean OMV, drug test results, and background check Preferred Data center or other mission-critical experience Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Work Conditions Candidates must be comfortable with field work, outdoor conditions, PPE, physical labor, overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as required by the project.
