Senior Logistician

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Logistician to support the Aviation Turbine Engines Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Serve as an Army Aviation engine maintenance specialist in support of the Aviation Turbine Engines Project Office.

• Provide Army Aviation maintenance expertise related to T55 and/or T700 series engines.

• Perform technical reviews of Maintenance Engineering Orders, proposed technical publication changes for Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, and Depot Maintenance Work Requirements pertaining to Army Aviation engines.

• Support and conduct Depot Maintenance Work Requirement and technical publication verification activities.

• Participate in internal and external logistics demonstrations, tooling checks, and related maintenance support activities.

• Review proposed Engineering Change Proposals and Engineering Change Notices to identify logistics or maintainer impacts and concerns.

• Support engine safety investigations, airworthiness impact assessments, safety message development, user messages, and Technical Bulletins.

• Research and collect information, trends, and issues from Army Aviation maintenance forms and records field data, including TAMMS-A and MCDS 2410.

• Provide real-world Army Aviation engine maintenance expertise to the customer and program office.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 10+ years of relevant logistics, maintenance, or Army Aviation engine maintenance experience.

• Experience in Army maintenance, preferably as a 15B Aircraft Powerplant Repairer.

• Knowledge of T55 and/or T700 series engines.

• Knowledge of Army Aviation maintenance processes, forms, and records, including TAMMS-A and MCDS 2410.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting an Army Aviation Project Office or Program Office.

• Experience reviewing Maintenance Engineering Orders, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, Depot Maintenance Work Requirements, Technical Bulletins, Engineering Change Proposals, or Engineering Change Notices.

• Experience supporting logistics demonstrations, tooling checks, safety investigations, or airworthiness-related actions.

• Direct maintenance experience with T55 and/or T700 Army Aviation engines.
