The Role As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho we are seeking a SCADA Database and Software Engineer to join our Operational Technology team in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for supporting MSSQL databases, manufacturing SCADA applications, select thin client/server hardware, and SCADAfacing ladder logic within a complex, highly automated production environment. The engineer will also develop reporting and visualization tools to support datadriven decisionmaking. The ideal candidate will be capable of designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting databases, reports, and SCADA applications that enable reliable, efficient operation of critical manufacturing equipment and processes. This individual will contribute to maximizing equipment uptime through efficient data flow design, continuous improvement of existing systems, and timely support of SCADArelated issues in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Work is performed in an FDAregulated environment, requiring thorough documentation of processes and changes. The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $89,000 to $115,000 and is bonus eligible.
