Production Shift Manager

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Lead all plant operations during assigned shift, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met
• Supervise and develop union employees and team leaders through coaching, feedback, and performance management
• Manage workforce planning including scheduling, overtime, and resource allocation
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS and environmental standards
• Investigate production, safety, and quality incidents; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, and planning teams to optimize plant performance
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support labor relations processes, including grievance handling and fact-finding sessions
• Ensure accurate administrative oversight, including time and attendance tracking

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred)
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing preferred)
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a production setting
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and operational excellence principles
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment and work rotating shifts
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
• Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems

How You Would Stand Out

• Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
• SAP or similar ERP system experience
• Background in chemical or process manufacturing industries
