Summary: Manages the heavy equipment of Western Maintenance Operations. Oversees the daily checks and other routine safety requirements related to the program's heavy equipment. Manages the inventory, purchase and supply of equipment including slings, shackles, hoists, turnbuckles, and other equipment and materials. Operates heavy equipment and vehicles. Posting Period: 5/19/2026 to 6/2/2026 Location: Southborough, MA Salary: $75,590.09 - $108,637.56 Annually $1,453.66 - $2,089.18 Weekly Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Department of Public Safety Hoisting Engineer's Licenses as follows:
Tools and Equipment Used Motor vehicles, specialized maintenance and construction equipment, hand tools, hoist, mobile radio, telephone, personal computer including word processing and other software, copy and fax machine. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electric shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud in field settings and loud at other work locations. Supervision Received and Exercised Works under the general supervision of the Southborough Supervisor of Facility Maintenance. Oversees assignment of work in conjunction with other supervisory staff. May review and approve timesheets and leave requests of assigned staff.
