The practice first opened in 2009 and has grown to become the premier eye care office in Carlsbad/San Diego's North County. Combining cutting-edge technologies, expertise, and high-quality products, the practice is dedicated to providing exceptional and personalized vision care to every patient. In addition to offering primary optometric services, the doctors specialize in specialty contact lens fittings, myopia management, glaucoma treatment, acute eye care, pediatric eye care, and designer eyewear and customer lens designs. What you'll do: This is a part-time fill in position, offering a flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of one 8 hour shift per month, primarily providing coverage for PTO as needed. You'll care for approximately 16 to 22 patients per day, performing comprehensive eye exams, recommending vision-enhancing solutions, and promoting long-term eye health through patient education. Experience with specialty contact lenses, myopia management, and glaucoma treatment is a plus and will support care for a diverse patient population. You'll use modern technology such as Optos imaging, the HERO Visual Field Headset, auto phoropter, and OCT, while following an accommodative exam template to deliver a thorough, engaging exam experience. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll collaborate to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient. Who we're seeking: The ideal candidate provides comprehensive, patient-centered eye care to individuals of all ages, with experience performing comprehensive eye exams, contact lens evaluations, glaucoma testing and treatment, and co management of diabetic eye disease, cataract surgery, and LASIK. Specialty contact lens experience is preferred, as well as proven leadership, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a compassionate approach to care.
