The Coordinator is responsible for delivering a structured and engaging onboarding and training experience for new hires within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role ensures employees are effectively integrated into their positions by coordinating onboarding logistics, developing and implementing training plans, and monitoring progress through regular check-ins and competency evaluations. This position serves as a key liaison between new employees and leadership, facilitating communication, addressing concerns, and supporting overall employee development. Additionally, the role contributes to recruitment and retention efforts by participating in candidate selection and fostering a positive, supportive onboarding experience that promotes long-term success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Current Food Handlers card as required by County Health Department issued by ONE of the following:
* StateFoodSafety.com
* Servsafe/National Restaurant Association
* Local County Health Department
EXPERIENCE:
1. One (1) year experience in Nutrition Services or high-volume food service job experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Person in Charge issued by local County Health department OR Manager Food Safety Certification
EXPERIENCE:
1. Two (2) years' experience training staff and developing basic training materials.

1. Conduct pre-onboarding outreach and provide new hires with role expectations, schedules, and required resources
2. Coordinate and support first-day onboarding, including logistics, introductions, and completion of requirements
3. Develop and manage structured training plans across assigned operational areas to ensure consistent, high-quality training.
4. Evaluate and validate employee competencies and adjust training as needed
5. Facilitate weekly check-ins during the first 8 weeks to monitor progress and address concerns
6. Maintain accurate documentation of onboarding, training progress, and employee feedback
7. Serve as a liaison between new hires and leadership, communicating relevant feedback
8. Partner with management to support employee development and identify opportunities.
9. Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and providing input on candidate selection.
10. Contribute to employee retention by fostering engagement, addressing early concerns, and supporting a positive onboarding experience.

9:00AM-5:30PM (varied evenings as needed). Weekend rotation every third weekend.
