Tharros is seeking a Systems Engineer for an upcoming program supporting a US Navy customer focused on research, engineering, and technical center focused on information warfare, cybersecurity, C4ISR, electronic warfare, AI/ML, communications, and related defense technologies. Responsibilities:
- Support the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of Navy Command and Control (C2) systems and mission applications supporting joint and coalition operational environments.
- Analyze system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and operational workflows to ensure successful integration of software, hardware, networking, and tactical data systems across afloat and shore-based platforms.
- Assist with implementation and testing activities for containerized applications, service mesh architectures, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI/ML-enabled capabilities within representative Navy operational environments.
- Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, configuration management, system validation, troubleshooting, cybersecurity compliance support, and technical documentation development.
- Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity personnel, operators, and government stakeholders to support system modernization efforts and delivery of mission-focused C2 capabilities.
- Support operational testing, experimentation events, and deployment activities across systems including MTC2, CANES, AEGIS interfaces, and other Navy tactical command and control platforms.
- Active TS/SCI DoD Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
