Position summary:

Supervises the tasks and daily activities of the maintenance crew and contractors involved in plant maintenance at a gas fired power plant. Directs the planning and scheduling to ensure appropriate preventive, predictive, planned, and reactive maintenance for all equipment and systems in the plant. Motivate personnel to support electricity production in a safe, reliable, environmentally sound, and economical manner. Leads the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure plant equipment and systems remain reliable and available for operational needs.

Pay Range: $105,750 - $174,450 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Reporting Relationship: Plant Manager

Location: Pueblo, Colorado

Essential Functions:
* Train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel to support operational excellence.
* Lead all plant maintenance functions, including staff supervision, budget oversight, work order planning, scheduling, and maintaining records for plant activities, environmental correspondence, and unit evaluations.
* Contribute to the development of the annual capital and O&M budgets and track performance against budget targets.
* Oversee the completion of work orders, updating schedules and priorities as operational needs evolve.
* Maintain environmental and NERC compliance through established procedures, use of the EAM system, and ongoing personnel training.
* Direct maintenance activities so that work is performed safely, efficiently, and cost effectively.
* Uphold full compliance with BHC safety rules, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards; monitor plant personnel to support safe work practices and maintain OSHA VPP status.
* Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance schedules and communicate effectively with all relevant departments, including operations, maintenance, accounting, and engineering.
* Keep company leadership and the dispatch group informed of overall plant conditions and operational status.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Assures that an adequate preventive and predictive maintenance program is established and monitors the preventive maintenance program for effectiveness.
* Must be able to evaluate equipment condition, understand failure modes, interpret technical documents and drawings, and apply industry-standard maintenance strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance techniques used in power generation facilities is essential.
* Occasionally coordinates or supports capital projects.

What Is Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
* High School Diploma
* Five (5) years experience with gas turbine/electric operations, maintenance, power generation, or related experience.
* Knowledge of safety codes and company policies and procedures.
* Demonstrate ability to plan, organize and direct work in a safe and efficient manner.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and direct multiple projects concurrently.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office and various specialized software.
* Respond to after-hour and weekend plant outages or emergencies.
* Good knowledge of basic principles of power generation/electrical principles and instrument/controls.
* Able to read and understand complex technical information such as engineering specifications, contracts, trade journals, equipment specifications and instructions.
* Able to use conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to mentor and coach employees.
* This position requires driving responsibilities. You must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company and insurer standards.
* This role will be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
