We are currently looking for Finishing Machine Operators and Printing Press Assistants to join our growing team!

Responsibilities for Press Assistants:


  • Assists the Press Operator: set up materials, printing press feed, printing units with ink and other supplies and logistics activities.
  • Maintains job information in ERP system.
  • Assures quality - realizes specifications of printing job.
  • Performs daily maintenance and preventive maintenance and cleaning of printing press to ensure a clean working environment.
  • Operates a transporter pallet, operates interface of the printing press and Cutstar control panel.
  • Understands Risk and Safety and Hazard and precaution Statements.


Responsibilities for Finishing Operators:



  • Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
  • Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
  • Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
  • Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
  • Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
  • Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Be DEPENDABLE- regular and predictable attendance and work overtime when required
  • Be a TEAM PLAYER- ability to assist others with machine set-up, run, and clean up
  • Be CARING- respect others and communicate openly
  • Strong Communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship required
  • Strong proficiency in the use of computer systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities
  • Quality conscious and customer focused
  • Self-directed individual with outstanding decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook and have the ability to learn company specialized software program
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Must be able to lift 20lbs on a frequent basis and 50lbs on an occasional basis
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus


Other considerations:



  • Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting
  • Frequently use hands to handle or feel, and to write and type
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb / balance, and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit
  • Vision abilities include -
    close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to
    distinguish color variations, ability to adjust focus, ability to view a
    computer screen for extended periods
  • Low to moderate noise environment in office areas, moderate to loud in manufacturing
  • Work flexible/varying schedules and hours as needed
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines
