Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD - Core Lab

Full Time/Night Shift: Monday-Friday - 11pm-7:30am

Weekends rotating

Position Summary:This role focuses primarily on scanning histology slides using advanced digital pathology systems to support clinical operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable with computer-based systems, highly detailoriented, and capable of maintaining accuracy in a highthroughput environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate digital slide scanners to convert glass slides into high-resolution digital images.
• Perform quality checks on scanned images to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Organize and upload scanned slides into the digital pathology platform.
• Maintain proper documentation of scanned cases and workflows.
• Assist with troubleshooting scanner issues and coordinating maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with histology staff to meet laboratory needs.
• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent including high school level coursework in biology, chemistry, and mathematics.

Work Experience:

• No experience required (some experience, preferably lab experience is helpful). Computer and data entry, retrieval and/or review skills are required.
• Basic understanding of histology and microscopy is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
• Comfortable working with computers and imaging software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
