From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis Midwest Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Factory Technologist based in Murfreesboro, TN. We are seeking a highly skilled Factory Technologist to oversee upcoming product innovations/ renovations / internalization in our Murfreesboro facility. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that enhance production capabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support changing business demands. The position will be responsible for projects related to upcoming product renovations (OSY, Yo Protein, Gogurt...), product internalization (Siggi's 5.3oz, pouch, 32oz, Ratio drinks... ) and products innovation (Siggi's drinks, Gogurt pouch...). The position requires high transversal management skills that require strong communication and coordination with internal plant team as well as corporate shared services function (R&D, PMO, quality...). This position will be responsible to lead projects to simplify our processes, reduce product variability and reduce factory complexity.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end execution and coordination of product renovations, internalization, innovations and any upcoming new product additions
  • Manage project scopes, feasibility feedback, provide industrial solutions, manage budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Industrial, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain) to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure new product launch is under expected specifications: quality, timeline and cost
  • Coordinate and prioritize trials on site with support from R&D team and internal factory team. Provide feedback on trial results and share factory recommendations.
  • Initiate and lead savings opportunities projects. Projects to reduce factory complexity (white mass, ingredients, packaging) and simplify our operations (packaging rationalization, improve cooling efficiency).
  • Initiate and coordinate projects to improve customers & consumers satisfaction (reduce complaints CPM) with quality team
  • Initiate and coordinate projects to reduce product variability, improve product quality and improve factory's performance, P&L

Dairy Process & Equipment Implementation

  • Develop expertise in dairy-specific equipment and ingredients required for upcoming product renovations.
  • Support scale-up of new products in collaboration with R&D and Operations.

Sanitation & CIP

  • Ensure new processes / products follow Sanitary Standards and are compatible with Clean-in-Place systems.
  • Ensure all new product launches meet quality specifications (release criteria', cleaning procedures and maintaining hygienic operations.)

Regulatory & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with PMO, FDA, USDA, HACCP, FSMA, and other food safety regulations.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to validate new products/processes and update relevant SOPs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with plant operations, quality, maintenance, engineering, R&D, purchasing and supply chain teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate operator training and smooth handover of new systems.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, and validation records.
  • Provide regular updates to plant leadership team.
Requirements

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of dairy processing and sanitary design principles.
  • Familiarity with PMO, FDA regulations, and HACCP.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, SAP).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Work Conditions

  • Work is performed in Murfreesboro manufacturing plant.
  • May involve extended periods on the production floor.
  • Occasional travel may be required to meet with vendors, shared services or attend training
