The hospital's RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses.
  • The Hospital Security Lead provides frontline leadership and operational oversight for daily security functions to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property.
  • This position supports regulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards and NFPA 99 requirements related to security management, life safety, and incident reporting.
  • The Security Lead serves as the shift lead, primary point of contact during assigned shifts, and assists with training, performance monitoring, and incident management.

Job Requirements:

  • HighSchoolDiploma or equivalent
  • ValidCLEET Armed SecurityOfficer
  • ValidDriver'sLicense
  • IAHSSBasic level (within 6 months of hire)
  • BLS (within 60 days of hire)
  • CPI (within 90 days of hire)
  • Maintain annual firearm and handcuffing certification
  • OC gel spray certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 1 year of security experience
  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients,visitors, staff, contractors, governmental agencies,and vendors.
  • Ability to confront adverse and potential hostile situations and resolve tactfully and safely.
  • Skill and ability to make quick decisions and apply safetyandsecurity knowledge in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
