Responsibilities

The Risk Management/Performance Improvement Director is a senior leadership position that reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Coordinates loss control efforts and advises management and administration on all potential sources of loss. Makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. Promotes, coordinates, directs, monitors, reviews, and reports performance improvement related issues. Investigates, resolves, documents and reports organization-specific patient and visitor complaints, grievances, requests, or concerns to leadership and staff. Maintains compliance with the guidelines and standards of all regulatory agencies and the facility's risk management program. Performs duties in accordance with facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility)Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in healthcare risk management/PI at a leadership level required.
  • Bachelor's degree in an associated health care field or equivalent experience required.
  • Mental health experience desired.
  • Certification in Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
  • Required knowledge of procedures and principles of risk management related to a health care environment, and current knowledge of regulating and accrediting agency guidelines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills are required.
