What you'll do:

As a Relationship Manager, you'll be in a key business development and relationship management role that executes the division's strategic plan and guide the team in its efforts to meet the Bank's annual growth and customer retention targets. You'll take a holistic approach to relationship management and be active participant both in developing new opportunities and working with existing customers. As the point person for structuring opportunities, you will be supported by a team of underwriters, portfolio managers, and credit analysts to grow and manage a portfolio. In this role you'll work your network and portfolio for additional opportunities, and devote significant time developing new prospects; this effort is balanced with your responsibility for your portfolio's health management.

The role requires a strong understanding of entertainment specific business models and credit structures, with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients across the entertainment and media ecosystem, including film, television, music, and related sectors.
  • Support in executing the Bank's strategic plan, with specific focus of leading the efforts to grow the loan and deposit portfolio of the assigned region or business line. Foster strong, healthy working relationships with senior leaders and peers in partner departments and third-party services.
  • Generate new client acquisition and expansion of existing relationships through proactive business development efforts, market coverage, and cultivation of referral sources across the entertainment industry.
  • Responsible for success in managing portfolio health and growth of a strategic book of business. Lead and independently execute escrow and paying agency transactions. Visit clients, educating them on products and resources available to the client base. Negotiate agreements include rate and pricing. Work with Business Development partners to onboard and generate repeat business from new clients. Handle post-closing administration of escrow and paying agency transactions.
  • Structure and originate entertainment-focused credit solutions that generate incremental loans, deposits, and fee income while meeting the Bank's credit quality standards. Coordinate delivery of a full suite of banking services, including treasury management, foreign exchange, and other ancillary products.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client business in context of KYC policy and mitigate risk to the bank in accordance with policy. Coordinate with clients on paying agency iterations and outstanding deliverables for closing.
  • Lead underwriting coordination, due diligence, documentation, and approval processes in partnership with credit, portfolio management, and legal teams.

What you'll need:

  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge in all facets of relationship management.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 50% travel.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 for Beverly Hills, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
