For a full list of our comprehensive benefits, see our website: https://www.sarepta.com/join-us The Importance of the Role The Director, Market Access Marketing is a results-driven leader responsible for shaping and executing US reimbursement and payer access strategies, including the design of payer-directed marketing resources, omnichannel promotional programs, and scientific forum presence that translates clinical and economic evidence into coverage impact. This critical leadership role ensures products are optimally positioned for coverage, reimbursement, and adoption across national and regional payer landscapes. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the complex US healthcare landscape, including commercial, self-funded, and Medicaid reimbursement pathways. Operating in a highly matrixed environment, this cross-functional leader will collaborate closely with teams across HEOR, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Finance, National Accounts, and Business Operations to deliver integrated and impactful market access marketing strategies.
The Opportunity to Make a Difference
Develop and execute the US Payer, Access & Reimbursement marketing strategy for the entire Sarepta portfolio - including the PMO franchise, gene therapy products, and SiRNA pipeline - translating payer landscape insights into a multi-channel tactical plan that encompasses print and digital promotional tools, scientific congress programming, and field pull-through resources. Develop compelling value propositions and the payer messaging platform - working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and HEOR - and translate these into a suite of payer-ready marketing materials including formulary dossier support, budget impact model briefs, visual aids, and objection-handling guides for field market access teams. Synthesize and provide payer, access, and reimbursement strategic recommendations to executive leadership, leveraging deep understanding of the complex reimbursement landscape, including benefit design (pharmacy vs. medical benefit), prior authorizations, appeals processes, coding, and site-of-care regulations for specialty and infused therapies. Serve as core member and contributor to the Commercial Strategy, Marketing, and Diagnostics Leadership team as well as individual brand teams. Collaborate with cross-functional partners (i.e., Directors of National Accounts Leadership, Directors of Market Access and Reimbursement Leadership) to gain organizational alignment and seamless execution of key payer and reimbursement strategies. Manage vendor agency of record to ensure fulfillment and execution of projects and tactics within budget and on agreed timelines, with deliverables executed in accordance with Sarepta's compliance and regulatory policies. Develop and execute market access and payer engagement materials, driving assets through the full MLR (medical, legal, regulatory) review and approval process while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and strategic objectives. Coordinate deployment of approved materials (print/digital) with Commercial Operations to ensure appropriate training and utilization with field teams. Design and execute field training programs for market access promotional materials - including launch briefings, interactive training modules, and pull-through tracking frameworks - to ensure National Accounts Directors and Market Access teams can effectively deploy approved content in payer engagements. Manage Market Access Marketing team budget. Support additional Commercial and U.S. Marketing Team initiatives. Establish strong relationships and develop collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders in the field.
More about You
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA/MS or other graduate degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in biotech industry, preferably in orphan diseases; prefer at least 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience working in brand management/marketing/market access; strong understanding of typical functions and procedures
- Extensive experience developing payer marketing resources across the full asset spectrum - including value proposition decks, payer slide kits, formulary dossier briefs, budget impact summaries, objection handlers, digital tools, and field pull-through guides - as well as informing HEOR data strategies in support of access decision-making.
- Direct experience managing all access-related promotional materials - including payer visual aids, field reference tools, digital assets, and congress materials - through the MLR (medical, legal, regulatory) review process. Demonstrated proficiency managing submission timelines, version control, and the promotional library to ensure field teams always access current, approved content.
- Possesses recent experience in the successful commercialization of specialty therapies, preferably in the rare disease space
- Demonstrated understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments, specifically in orphan or rare disease
- Demonstrated history of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing and deploying digital payer marketing programs - including payer portals, email campaigns, webinar series, and omnichannel field tools - with working knowledge of regulatory requirements governing digital promotional content.
- Previous experience launching buy-and-bill products.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with initiative, including project planning and prioritizing competing demands.
- Experience developing and managing promotional budgets and overseeing third-party vendors.
- Proven ability to establish and sustain trusted relationships with internal partners and to work effectively in teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible, and dynamic environment is critical; Must be able to work effectively in the face of ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, strong interpersonal influencing and prioritization abilities, and proven capacity to influence within matrixed organizations, including influencing without authority.
- Proven ability to translate strategic vision into executed marketing programs, including in support of novel modalities where payer evidence requirements are still forming.
- Ability to quickly forge strong partnerships with both internal and external partners.

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.
The targeted salary range for this position is $185,600 - $232,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
