Sr. Product Engineering Supervisor

JobPurpose

As the Sr. Product Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and mentor a team of Product Engineers, driving excellence in technical documentation, system efficiency, and process innovation. You will serve as a critical bridge between customers and internal departments including Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to ensure seamless project execution. By establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimizing resource allocation, you will directly influence the department's ability to meet evolving production goals and engineering standards.

This is a front-line leadership role requiring a balance of technical expertise in PCB manufacturing and modern people-management skills. You are expected to operate with independence, resolving routine process and employee relations issues while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Nature of Job Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Team Leadership: Oversee daily engineering operations, including staffing, scheduling, and technical training.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate departmental performance, adjusting resources to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders to align engineering output with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Process Improvement: Implement updated methodologies and tooling procedures to streamline the Product Engineering workflow.
  • Performance Management: Drive engagement through coaching, feedback, and equitable policy administration.


Education and Experience:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of related experience in a PCB manufacturing environment (7+ years preferred). Management Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of engineering tooling operations and a solid understanding of Bare Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of PCB materials
  • Software Familiarity: Practical experience with industry tools such as Inplan and Insolver.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate teams, manage performance, and support hiring/onboarding initiatives.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written skills, with the ability to collaborate across different departments.

Salary Range (annual) : $100,000.00 - $135,000.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
