Quality Engineer

Location: Mount Holly, NC

Company: American & Efird (A&E)

Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm

What You'll Do



  • Monitor and improve product and process quality performance.
  • Investigate customer complaints, internal quality concerns, and non-conformance issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, and management teams to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external customer or certification audits.
  • Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Assist in developing process controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in new product or process development activities to ensure quality standards are met.



What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience using Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, or FMEA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
