Our work spans the full project life cycle, from up-front evaluation and planning studies through design and into construction monitoring and operations. You can help clients push boundaries and meet evolving industrial demands while supporting resilient infrastructure and responsible growth. HDR is looking for a Project Control Specialist in our Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem office. In the role of Project Controls Specialist, we'll count on you to:

* Establish work breakdown structure (WBS).
* Develop and maintain complex project schedules for various phase of the project.
* Coordinate with necessary team members.
* Develop and monitor project metrics.
* Participate in project coordination meetings.
* Conduct project site visits, if applicable.
* Conduct schedule baseline and schedule update reviews.
* Develop cost estimates.
* Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports, local candidates are preferred
* Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • The capability to actively progress knowledge in the areas of:
    • Oral and written communication skills
    • Interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Coordination and prioritization of multiple long and short-term tasks
    • Organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
