Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career. THE ROLE: Join AMD's AI Platform Engineering organization and help define the system architecture that will power the next generation of AI and data center infrastructure. As a System Architect, you will work on highly visible, leading-edge programs that are central to AMD's evolving AI platform strategy. You will partner with senior architects and engineering teams across silicon, hardware, firmware, software, networking, thermal, power, validation, and platform disciplines to solve complex system-level challenges. You will explore emerging technologies, evaluate architecture concepts and tradeoffs, and help turn evolving customer and platform requirements into scalable solutions for AI and hyperscale data center environments. This is a senior individual-contributor technical role with the opportunity to influence architecture and platform direction through hands-on technical leadership. You will work in a fast-moving environment where technologies, customer requirements, and program priorities continue to evolve. The role offers significant opportunity to learn, innovate, and influence future AMD platforms while collaborating with experts across the organization. This emphasis on a broad platform architecture scope, hyperscale data center product development, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability. THE PERSON: You are a collaborative, curious, and forward-thinking architect who enjoys solving complex problems at the system level. You are comfortable working through ambiguity, evaluating alternatives, and using technical judgment to influence decisions across engineering disciplines. You thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt quickly as technologies and priorities evolve, and bring a continuous-learning mindset to your work. You communicate complex architectural concepts clearly, build strong partnerships, and can influence technical direction without relying on formal authority. You balance deep technical thinking with a practical understanding of how architecture decisions affect the broader platform. You bring a proactive approach, positive attitude, and passion for innovation and enjoy working alongside other technical experts to solve challenging problems at scale. Adaptability, proactive behavior, communication, continuous learning, collaboration, and the ability to succeed amid changing project direction were specifically emphasized during the hiring-manager alignment.
