Shipping & Receiving Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Valencia, California. This fully on-site position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining shipping documentation, and supporting inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation.
- Perform quality inspections on received products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records within company systems.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and carriers to resolve shipment-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping and receiving processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and established shipping standards.
- Provide excellent customer service when addressing shipping and receiving inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving operations, including order verification, documentation, and packaging standards.
- Experience maintaining accurate shipment and receiving records.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing, medical device, distribution, or supply chain environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Valencia, CA. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available. The role is primarily office-based and includes regular use of computers and shipping-related systems. Responsibilities may require occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items up to 10 pounds. Candidates must be able to review shipping documents, labels, inventory records, and communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
