The Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary research (CHOIR) a research center within the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, seeks an administrative manager for research to join our dynamic and growing team. The mission of CHOIR is to develop novel and scalable mind-body, behavioral and lifestyle interventions for people on the continuum from health to illness and their caregivers, across the lifespan and in both hospital and community settings.
Our research team develops, tests, and implements interventions for patients, caregivers and patient-caregiver dyads, across many conditions with a major focus on chronic pain, critical care, dementia and older adults. Our interventions are embedded within medical practices and community settings or are delivered remotely via zoom or mobile applications. We train psychology fellows, practicum students, and research volunteers. We support the growth of early career investigators and serve as a convener for mind-body and lifestyle interventions at the intersection of psychology and medicine. To date, CHOIR houses 16 investigators with their own portfolio of federal and foundation research grants. Position Summary The Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of research and programmatic grants-from identifying funding opportunities through proposal development, submission, award management, compliance monitoring, and closeout. This role ensures that all sponsored projects adhere to institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and federal regulations. The Grant Manager serves as a key resource to faculty, researchers, and administrative staff, providing guidance on proposal strategy, budgeting, and financial stewardship.
