The Senior Manager, Benefits contributes to the design and oversees the deployment and renewal of all global benefit programs for N-able, including insured plans, pension schemes, time away programs, and other perks. Leading market research initiatives, program and vendor evaluations, the Senior Manager, Benefits and recommends effective benefit plan designs and partners with local People teams for the implementation, communication, administration, and adhere to compliance of all employee benefit plans globally. The Senior Manager, Benefits plays a large, hands-on role in critical projects, including M&A due diligence and integration, and other initiatives.


What You'll Do

  • Leads by example in promoting a positive, team-oriented culture and reinforces department and company values.
  • Partners with other People teams to administer benefits program options, policy, enrollment, and other requirements.
  • Leads the US Open Enrollment process annually.
  • Provides cost estimates for all program recommendations and renewals and partners with Finance to ensure programs are properly planned and accounted for.
  • Uses competitive market data to develop and implement strategic plans for enhancing and optimizing benefits value and delivery.
  • Works with leaders and People team members in various countries to determine sound recommendations for benefits; takes a global approach with specialization based on regional needs.
  • Implements communication programs to ensure employees are knowledgeable about the benefits available to them and can make well-informed decisions.
  • Evaluates and monitors local benefits brokers and global benefits consultants to ensure appropriate service levels are met.
  • Works with local People teams to monitor in-country benefits vendors. Partners with brokers and local People teams to replace underperforming vendors when necessary.
  • Motivates the team to reach its full potential. Recognizes and develops high-potential team members, while upgrading talent where and when necessary. Translates company goals into functional department and individual career goals and provides support and guidance to employees. Contributes to the establishment of department succession plans.
  • Participates in and/or conducts periodic benefit surveys, compiles statistics, and sensitive HR census data, and summarizes survey information to support benefits recommendations and management information needs.
  • Partners with legal and local People teams to evaluate benefit program compliance with local employment regulations around the world. Oversees the selection and management of appropriate benefits vendors for health and welfare, financial, and all other benefits, including benefits support and benefits administration functions.
  • Determines appropriate scope of vendor services and negotiation of vendor contracts.
  • Manages the annual benefits calendar.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of pension plans, medical leaves and other absences, time away benefits, and insured plans across multiple countries
  • Serves as consultant on benefits-related policies and programs
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear manner
  • Strong analytic ability and knowledge of Excel to evaluate data, model changes to benefits, summarize findings, and make recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage projects, self-direct, manage multiple priorities, and work in a results-oriented environment
  • 8+ years of experience working with employee benefit programs, including at least 4 years building strategy for multiple country benefit programs of increasingly diverse or complex applications
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferred
  • Must have International benefits experience.
  • BS/BA Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
