Compensation: The Hourly pay for this position is $22.85 pls $1.25 shift differential, consistent with our internal compensation framework.

Hours are 2nd shift: Mon-Thurs 3:45pm-2:45am

What We're Seeking

A motivated, quality conscious professional who ensures that production employees are properly utilizing standard work for their position that will result in producing the highest quality, most cost-effective products possible. This position plays an active role in the Company's Lean initiatives.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

General



  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and integrity.
  • Always follow safety protocols and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas.
  • Follow additional tasks assigned by Production Supervisor.
  • The ability to collaborate, communicate, and learn from people with different backgrounds, cultures, abilities, languages, or perspectives.



Leadership



  • Leads the production team by promoting the Spirit of EA Sween Company and creating a friendly and positive work environment.
  • Coordinates the on-the-job training of all production employees in specific areas, including standard work, safety, GMP and completion of paperwork for all team members.
  • Leads by example by maintaining a good attendance record and promotes the importance of following the Attendance Policy with all production employees.
  • Ensure production employees are treated fairly in a friendly, safe, clean and positive work environment.



Food Safety and Quality



  • Responsible for food safety and quality
  • Follows and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all EA Sween and Operations policies and procedures.
  • Promotes food safety with all production employees and immediately reports any food safety concerns to the production manager.



Safety and Health



  • Performs job responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Promotes workplace safety with production employees and immediately reports any safety concerns to the production manager.
  • Successfully completes the mandatory EA Sween Quarterly Safety Training sessions for complying with both OSHA regulations and EA Sween policies.
  • Zero safety incidences of team members.



Production



  • Validate that all team members are following standard work 100% of the time. Coach team to higher performance levels.
  • Work with Line Controllers to ensure accurate completion of downtime reports and raw material production reports for each work order using Redzone.
  • Ensure employees are rotating for each work order.
  • With guidance from Production supervisor, coach, discipline and document work performance and/or policy violations.
  • Communicate daily with Production supervisor and Production manager regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Fills in on the Production line as an as-needed basis.
  • Works with the Production Management team on updating position descriptions and standard work.
  • Properly cross-train in all positions or areas.
  • Meet or exceed 95% fill rates.



Cost (Continuous Improvement)



  • Contribute to Lean activities.
  • Suggest additional types of employee training as it relates to process improvement/lean.
  • Work with Production employees, as well as quality assistant, Production supervisor and maintenance techs to assemble the lowest cost, highest quality product possible.
  • 25% waste reductions

  • Trays

  • Miscellaneous small utensils
  • Ear plugs



What You'll Need (Qualifications)

Required



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years pervious food experience
  • Previous experience leading or supervising employees
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include occasional overtime and on occasion work on weekends (Saturday)


Preferred



  • Previous machine operating experience
  • Previous experience conducting performance reviews



Physical Demand/Work Environment



  • Able to spend 95% of time on the production floor continuously
  • Able to be on feet continuously
  • Able to work in cool conditions, 32-45 degrees continuously
  • Able to keep up with manufacturing speeds on production lines continuously
  • Able to bend, turn, push and pull frequently
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Able to cross-train in all positions in Production area
