Location This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to Parnall Office located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). #LI-JH1 General Summary of Job Responsibilities The Senior Program Engineer is functionally for a Project Engineer within the HVD Engineering team who works in a team setting providing support to project managers and leading engineering tasks/deliverables related to the planning, design, quality, testing, and execution of projects for the Electric Distribution business area. The position will largely serve as the project engineer for the projects which are intensive in protection and control; however, any project within the HVD portfolio may be within the position's purview. Projects could range from small single panel or cabinet installations to large projects with new control houses with panels and line exit additions. The Project Engineer ensures that technical project work scope is properly coordinated between internal and external engineers of record, vendors, fabricators, and contractors to meet project requirements. The Project Engineer will have multiple assignments (ranging from moderate to complex assignments) requiring application of standard techniques, theory, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. The Senior Program Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. The incumbent oversees multiple initiatives and works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The position, within I&C, will also oversee and determine staffing needs for contracted staff augmented project engineers and is responsible for the deliverables of the team and overseeing the work, with aid as needed from the team's senior engineering manager, and approving the timesheets of the staff augmented project engineers Essential Duties and Responsibilities
