What you will do:

  • Monitor, test, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems (microwave, radio, satellite, network, and telephone) to ensure reliable operation.

  • Inspect and maintain infrastructure including towers, antennas, transmission lines, and power/HVAC/generator systems.

  • Identify, respond to, and resolve communication issues.

  • Complete accurate reports, perform routine testing, and follow all manuals, and regulatory requirements.

  • Install, configure, and support network connectivity, routers, and communication equipment for end users.

  • Work safely at all times and actively participate in safety programs and compliance initiatives.

  • Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to contractors or less experienced employees as needed.

  • Assist in configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading of Desktop, IT and Printer Devices.

Who you are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of directly relevant training and experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's license and good driving record.

  • Reside (or are willing to reside) within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

  • Able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

  • Able and willing to work overtime, weekends, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.

  • Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.

  • Communicate verbally and in writing to collect and relay basic facts.

  • Willing to assist with more complex tasks, equipment and procedures.

  • Able to work with significant independence.

  • Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.

  • Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are valued.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of communications services (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Fiber Optics, T1, etc.).

  • Working knowledge and understanding of radio frequency equipment and antenna systems.

  • FCC, General Radiotelephone Operator License.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.

  • Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.

  • Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.

  • Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance and repair of communication equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training, meetings, and documentation of required tasks dictated by regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call & standby, and travel overnight as required.

  • Currently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 45 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds),

Mental Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $32.25 - $40.00 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
