At the IDD Education Center, our student associates support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with their academic, independent living, employment, and health and wellness goals. Our Center is currently hiring for student associate positions in the TAP program for Fall Semester 2026. General Job Description: Transition and Access Pathways (TAP) Student Associates support college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they work toward increased independence, academic engagement, employment readiness, and social connection. TAP Student Associates provide direct support to students in individual and group settings across academic, social, independent living, and career-related environments. Student Workers model appropriate communication and interpersonal skills, provide structured guidance, encourage self-advocacy, and support skill development using inclusive, strength-based practices. They collaborate closely with TAP professional staff, maintain professionalism and confidentiality, and adapt supports based on students' individual goals and needs. Responsibilities may occur on campus, in residence halls, community settings, or at internship sites, depending on role assignment. Specific duties vary by position type and program need.
