The Highlights:
The Director of the Office of Institutional Equity and Thriving advances DePaul University's institutional priorities related to belonging, community thriving, and inclusive excellence. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Belonging, Engagement, and Mission, the Director provides strategic leadership, vision, and coordination for universitywide thriving initiatives. The role shapes institutional frameworks, leads multiyear planning, builds highlevel partnerships, manages the DePaul Belonging Collective (DBC), facilitates the Human Dignity & Bias Response Team (HDBRT/BERT), and the AntiDiscrimination Risk Response Plan. The Director ensures alignment with the mission, Designing DePaul, and university equity goals while cultivating a culture where all community members feel welcome, respected, and able to thrive. What You'll Do:
What You'll Need:
* Master's degree in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Higher Education or a related field, required.
* 5-10 years of relevant full time professional experience in the area of student affairs in higher education.
* A minimum of 3-7 years' experience in the areas of strategic planning, administration, supervision and coordination of Innovative programs and services addressing student success and retention as well as a concentration in urban university settings. Experience building and leading initiatives across institutions.
* Experience with data analysis and translation for change.
*Experience with Maxient or related reporting platforms.
* Experience training and developing individuals to lead restorative response to incidents of bias.
* Program and project management skills.
* Supervisory and strategic planning skills.
* Public speaking and group facilitation skills.
* Ability to organize several projects with multiple deadlines.
* Ability to interact effectively with staff and faculty colleagues, external partners and students.
* Appreciation for and commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity issues.
The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $74,367 to $95,000.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
