SUMMARY:

Lead a team of material handlers of the shift for safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials throughout the facility, including Autonomous Mobile Robot

(AMR) operations, recycling, and inventory control. Ensures uninterrupted material flow to production, maintains workplace organization standards, and enforces safety, and quality of logistical transactions. Carries out duties required by the direct supervisor and/or Manager of Supply Chain in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including training, assigning work, and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Note: Must follow all work rules and policies

  • Promote a zeroinjury culture, enforce OSHA and company safety standards, and conduct safety observations and incident investigations.
  • Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards across warehouse, dock, AGV, and storage areas.
  • Support cross-training and communicate on proper staffing levels, crosstraining, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Ensure uninterrupted rawmaterial supply to production presses to eliminate downtime.
  • Oversee AGV scheduling, traffic flow, troubleshooting, and maintenance coordination.
  • Assure accurate staging, material transactions using system scanners, and documentation.
  • Support cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, storage accuracy, and annual inventory activities.
  • Maintain key warehouse performance metrics such inventory accuracy, and driver adherence to the standard work
  • Assure changes to SOPs are communicated to the team and adhered to.
  • Provide input to improving and updating standard work and support continuousimprovement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • 2-5 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment; injection molding or plastics industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with automated guided vehicle systems or the ability to learn new software technology
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problemsolving skills with demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Strong Excel skills preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Includes employee issues, complaints and problems, technology problems, scheduling conflicts, quality issues, customer complaints, inventory, training, internal and external customers and vendors. Must adhere to all established rules, policies, and regulations of the company.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
