DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position plays an important role in providing psychological services and supporting treatment within an inpatient psychiatric hospital. It involves clinical assessment, therapy, and teamwork to guide patients toward improved mental health. As a Licensed Psychologist, you will perform the following duties:
- Patient Assessment: Interview patients, administer tests, and identify strengths and needs to determine treatment goals
- Therapeutic Support: Conduct individual, group, and milieu therapy sessions to help patients improve psychological and emotional behavior
- Treatment Planning: Develop treatment plans, attend team meetings, and recommend program adjustments to support progress
- Clinical Leadership: Provide supervision to interns, practicum students, and maintain high level of professionalism
- Staff Collaboration: Offer training, consultation, and support to hospital staff and participate in departmental activities
- Program Participation: Fulfill documentation, billing, and training requirements to maintain compliance and service quality

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:
- You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
