Sigma Defense is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist to provide comprehensive lifecycle logistics expertise for major U.S. Navy shipboard systems. The Logistics Engineer will possess a strong background in Navy logistics engineering, fleet introduction, and sustainment support, with demonstrated experience across all DoD and Navy ILS elements. This role is central to ensuring effective planning, deployment, operational support, and long-term readiness of critical fleet capabilities. - 7+ years of full time professional experience in Navy Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and System Life Cycle Support within the DoD/Navy ILS framework.
- 2+ years of logistics engineering development experience, including the development, fleet introduction, installation, testing, operation, and life cycle sustainment of major shipboard systems.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Specialized expertise across all Navy ILS elements, to include:
- Maintenance Planning
- Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MP&T)
- Supply Support
- Test Equipment Support
- Technical and Logistical Data Management
- Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T)
- Design and Installation Support
Computer Programs/Software:
- Configuration Data Management Database.
- Open Architecture (CDMD-OA).
- Integrated Logistics Information Tool (ILIT).
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
- Configuration Management and Logistics.
- AI and Data Analytics.
Mandatory Certifications:
- NAVSEA Logistics training courses (ILS, LSA, WSF, CDMD-OA, ICAPS, PMS 340 specifics).
- Navy ERP / SAP logistics module training.
- Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) development training.
- Technical Data & S1000D authoring courses.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Top Secret security clearance.
- A clearance will not be sponsored.
Education Requirements (must possess one of the following):
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Provide end to end Integrated Logistics Support for major Navy shipboard systems, ensuring alignment with DoW and Navy ILS policies, standards, and best practices.
- Support system development, installation, testing, and Fleet integration activities across the program life cycle.
- Develop, review, and maintain logistics documentation, technical data, and life cycle support artifacts.
- Coordinate and lead efforts across all Navy ILS elements, including maintenance planning, MP&T, supply support, technical data management, test equipment support, and PHS&T.
- Engage with engineering, program management, Fleet stakeholders, and shipyard teams to ensure logistics considerations are embedded throughout system development and deployment.
- Provide logistics engineering analysis to identify risks, resource requirements, sustainment strategies, and cost effective support solutions.
- Support configuration management, readiness assessments, and logistics readiness reviews.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 annually. Benefits
